When a former colleague of mine decided to start her own internet marketing company she needed a brand and website. The company called Green Peas would be a group of working mothers splitting the work load so they could work but still spend time with their children.
The brand needed to be trustworthy, feel like home and give a sense that the company would help other small businesses grow with online marketing.
As a user interface designer at OrgSync I'm responsible for researching, planning and executing user interface designs for the application.
My projects have included a new home page for the application, a refreshed user interface that improved consistency, a new service management product, and a redesigned event creation process.
I've also designed graphics and marketing materials for the company.
At Match.com I worked mainly on the application designing new products and redesigning existing areas of the site. The redesign of the email inbox simplified composing a message by allowing the user to send an email right from the inbox, and by adding profile details and previous email threads to the compose screen.
I also designed the initial version of The Daily 5 which helped the user find matches without having to search for them. The addition of this feature resulted in a significant increase in subscriptions upon rollout.
The Sapphire Agency was a small full service design, development and online marketing agency. As a small group of quirky, engaging individuals the brand needed to reflect the agency's strengths: youth, creativity, breadth of services and individuality.
Each department is branded with a different color, custom graphics were created for each service and the logo replicates a jewel setting.
To recruit volunteers we created a campaign including posters, brochures, bookmarks, and graphics for the website to give potential volunteers more information and push them to Orientation Sessions.
I developed the "Become a Part of our Story" concept and illustrated storybook "characters" for each of the volunteer positions.
The campaign increased volunteer hours 112% and won a Texas Library Association Branding Iron Award and the 2012 John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award.
My first design internship was at Arc Worldwide where I redesigned marketing documents for Visa to fit into their new brand standards. While the majority of my subsequent jobs have focused my attention on the web I have occasionally had the opportunity to create some print pieces including various invitations, business cards, and marketing documents.

At OrgSync my general responsibilities include product planning and research, wireframing, final designs and light front end development work for user interface changes or additions to the OrgSync web application. My contributions to the site so far include a streamlined new design for the event creation process, a new service management product, a site wide design refresh that improved consistency throughout, as well as a community page seen by all users upon login.
August 2009 - March 2011
I ensured the quality of all creative produced by the agency, facilitated group brainstorms and discovery sessions, and designed websites for various clients including Eagle Golf, Worldwide Express, WIT Co, Bestway Rent-to-Own, the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals and BeNoah Renovations. Aside from design responsibilities, I helped to streamline our agency processes, creating a new format for the creative brief, and implementing a style guide system that ensured a smooth handoff from design to development.
March 2008 - August 2009
The majority of my time at Match.com was spent working on the application creating new products and redesigning existing areas of the site. I designed the original implementation of the "Daily 5" feature, the new onsite email inbox and messaging experience and various other smaller features including "Who's Favorited Me" and "MatchTalk." In addition to working on the application I also designed landing pages and banner ads for use with partner marketing and collaborated with the design team to create and implement a new style guide for the site.
Offline you can find me around Dallas at the DMA soaking up some culture or at Ranger's Stadium in Arlington catching a game. Online, check me out on Dribbble for projects I'm working on now and check out my professional network on Linkedin. But your best shot to get my attention is probably through email.
